About The Position

Easterseals Crossroads is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to join their small ABA program. The role involves working within an early childhood program for ages 2-8, focusing on changing the typical ABA program approach.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field required
• RBT credential in good standing required at the time of hire

Nice To Haves

• Experience providing direct behavioral services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other experience working with children is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one applied behavior analysis intervention to individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in an early childhood program ages 2-8 receiving up to 16 hours per week (no 40-hour a week clients)
• Create meaningful interactions and facilitate a naturalistic learning environment including play skills and social interactions within a 1:1 or classroom setting
• Work within a small team of RBT’s and BCBA’s
• Implement programming from behavior analytic curriculum such as ESDM, PEAK, and Socially Savvy under the direction of BCBA/BCaBA’s
• Assist with creating materials for group and classroom activities
• Communicate daily with parents, BCBA’s, and team members about caseloads and programming as well as managing consumer data
• Collaborate with other departments within the organization as needed such as OT, Speech, and Physical Therapy
• Receive a 30-minute lunch without clients
• Participate in applied behavior analysis and other organizational trainings as required
• Undergo training and implement crisis prevention training using Safety Care
• Student supervision may be provided to those with 1 year of experience with a minimum of 90 days of employment
• Opportunities to engage with other departments within the organization such as the IDEA Committee and Social Committee.
