About The Position
Affirmative Parenting Solutions is seeking a compassionate and qualified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team on a PRN (as needed) basis. This is an on-call position designed to provide flexible coverage based on client needs, staff absences, and fluctuating service demands. PRN means 'pro re nata' (as needed). As a PRN RBT, you will work on an on-call, flexible schedule with no guaranteed minimum hours, be contacted when coverage is needed due to client demand, staff call-outs, vacations, or scheduling gaps, have the flexibility to accept or decline shifts based on your availability, typically receive 24-48 hours notice for scheduling (though emergency coverage may occasionally require shorter notice), and are expected to maintain availability for a minimum of 8-12 hours per week when needed.
Requirements
- Current RBT Certification through the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass background check
- Reliable transportation
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Flexibility and reliability - essential for PRN positions
- Ability to respond to scheduling requests in a timely manner
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with children/individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
- Experience in ABA therapy settings
- Bilingual skills (if applicable to your area)
- Currently a RBT with experience
Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision
- Provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to clients
- Collect accurate session data and document client progress
- Maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and team members
- Step in seamlessly to provide continuity of care when regular staff are unavailable
