About The Position

Family Outreach is looking for a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) team. In this role, you will work directly with children with autism and/or developmental disabilities, helping them build communication, social, daily living, and other important life skills. This is a hands-on position where you can see the impact of your work every day. You will work in both clinic and home-based settings while receiving guidance and supervision from Licensed Behavior Analysts (LBAs) and working alongside a supportive ABA team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), or ability to obtain certification as required for the position.
  • Ability to successfully complete required agency training and competency requirements.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position and work in home and clinic-based environments.
  • Compassionate and genuinely interested in helping children succeed.
  • Patient, dependable, and comfortable working one-on-one with clients.
  • Able to follow detailed treatment plans and professional direction.
  • Comfortable collecting data and documenting client progress.
  • A strong communicator and collaborative team member.
  • Willing to learn and continue developing skills in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct ABA services using individualized treatment plans developed by a Licensed Behavior Analyst.
  • Work one-on-one with clients to help them develop communication, social, play, self-help, and other functional skills.
  • Implement individualized ABA treatment plans and behavior-support strategies under the direction of an LBA.
  • Use evidence-based teaching strategies to help clients learn new skills and increase independence.
  • Support positive behaviors while helping clients develop functional alternatives to challenging behaviors.
  • Collect accurate data during sessions to measure client progress and treatment effectiveness.
  • Document session activities, progress, and other required information in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with skill acquisition programs using strategies such as naturalistic teaching, task analysis, chaining, discrimination training, and stimulus control.
  • Help clients practice and generalize skills across home, clinic, community, and other everyday environments.
  • Communicate important observations and changes that may affect treatment, such as illness, medication changes, environmental changes, or significant life events.
  • Collaborate with LBAs, Compliance Specialists, caregivers, families, and other members of the ABA team.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and ensure records and documentation are handled appropriately.
  • Participate in required training, team meetings, competency assessments, and professional development.
  • Maintain required RBT competencies and follow Family Outreach policies, procedures, and professional standards.
  • Assist with special projects, agency events, required training, meetings, and coverage for other Family Outreach staff as assigned.
