About The Position

Northeast Family Services is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join their growing team. This Fee For Service (FFS) position involves implementing behavior support plans for clients to decrease problematic behaviors and providing ABA-based instruction to promote skill development, all under the direction of a supervising BCBA. The RBT will monitor client behavior, collect and report data to the supervising BCBA, and collaborate with the BCBA and client's family to support meaningful behavioral changes.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) - REQUIRED
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience (Working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families, and experience working with adolescents requiring comprehensive level care) - REQUIRED
  • Availability to work early afternoon hours (e.g. 1:30-4:00) - REQUIRED
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • A compassionate approach to care

  • Access to a laptop or CPS, high speed secure internet, and a phone required.

  • Experience in applied settings implementing behavioral interventions preferred

Responsibilities

  • Implement clients’ behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior.
  • Provide ABA-based instruction to promote development of new skills, at the direction of their supervising BCBA.
  • Monitor client behavior.
  • Collect data on client behavior.
  • Report data back to supervising BCBA.
  • Work collaboratively with the supervising BCBA and client’s family to support meaningful changes in client behavior.
