Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - School Sub/Floater
About The Position
Alongside ABA is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism and related developmental differences. Under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the technician follows individualized treatment plans, collects data, and helps children build communication, social interaction, and daily living skills. The primary work environment is schools; employees must also be open to home and clinic settings when school assignments are unavailable. This is a year-round, ongoing position, not a seasonal role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid California Class C driver's license, valid insurance, and personal transportation.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and eager to learn.
- Pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle record check, take a TB test, and provide proof of required vaccinations during onboarding.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field.
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively in school, home, and clinic settings while adapting strategies to each environment.
- Implement individualized ABA programs under the direction of the supervising BCBA.
- Collect and record accurate session data using agency-approved software, such as Boost or HiRasmus.
- Maintain professional communication with supervisors, families, and team members.
- Participate in required training sessions, team meetings, and supervision hours.
- Comply with clinical, ethical, and confidentiality standards.
- Respond to challenging or unsafe behaviors as required, consistent with training and company protocols.
