About The Position

Make a difference every day by joining CCRES as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT))! The Registered Behavior Technician / RBT is a paraprofessional who can work directly with students who have significant behavioral and/or instructional needs including students who require daily implementation of a crisis management plan; require complex verbal behavior programming; and/or extensive data collection, graphing, and analysis. The RBT is responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services including instruction and behavioral support. The RBT practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalency
  • National certification as an RBT - active
  • Current certification in both CPR/First Aide and Safety Care Training (De-escalation, and Escorts & Restraints)
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday following the academic calendar year
  • Clearances current within 12 months: PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance, PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance, PA Department of Education FBI – Use code 1KG6XN
  • TB Screening - current within 3 months

  • Worked a minimum of 1 year directly with individuals with special needs

Responsibilities

  • Direct implementation of behavior-analytic services including instruction and behavioral support
  • Work directly with students who have significant behavioral and/or instructional needs
  • Implement daily crisis management plans
  • Implement complex verbal behavior programming
  • Conduct extensive data collection, graphing, and analysis
  • Practice under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA
  • Maintain RBT certification as mandated by the BACB
  • Maintain current certification in both CPR/First Aide and Safety Care Training (De-escalation, and Escorts & Restraints)
