About The Position

The Registered Architect will have overall project management responsibilities for a variety of commercial projects and project teams to include client contact, scheduling and budgeting. Will be the main point of contact for the client from design to end of construction. In this role, you will specifically be responsible for the following: Working in team environment to design a new structure or modify an existing structure and prepare needed documentation Discussing designs and cost estimates (including space programming, developing, coordinating and directing) with clients and others involved in the project (Others include engineers, quantity surveyors, landscape architects etc.) Obtaining necessary approvals from authorities Preparing specifications and contract documents, specifying building materials, construction equipment and examine relevant codes and by-laws in the course of undertaking project documentation Observing, inspecting and monitoring building work, to ensure that it is progressing according to the contract and specifications Conducting post-occupancy evaluation of projects Will be involved in project feasibility studies, strategic asset investigations, heritage studies, urban planning, interior design and/or landscape design Ability to develop/maintain good working relationships with all involved on a project (owners, architects, local officials, contractors, vendors) in order to help successfully complete projects within limits of budget and time is essential.

Requirements

  • At least 7-10 years of experience working on commercial projects
  • A Bachelors degree in Architecture
