About The Position

The Charles Lea Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Register Behavior Technician to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through positive behavior supports and person-centered services. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating behavior support plans while providing training and consultation to staff and interdisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping individuals achieve meaningful outcomes and improving quality of life through evidence-based behavioral interventions.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities
Must meet one of the following requirements: Have Registered Behavior Technician Certification OR Take 40 hours course work provided by CLC, complete competency assessment by BCBA and pass RBT exam by Pearson within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Maintain an assigned caseload of individuals receiving behavior support services.
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
Develop individualized behavior support plans based on assessment findings and identified needs.
Design and implement data collection systems to monitor progress and outcomes.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior support plans and recommend revisions as needed.
Receive clinical supervision and guidance from the Clinical Director.
Provide consultation to residential, vocational, and community-based programs regarding behavioral supports.
Train staff on proper implementation of behavior support plans and data collection procedures.
Facilitate individual and group training sessions.
Review behavioral data and prepare reports that identify trends, progress, and recommendations.
Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and provide behavioral recommendations.
Communicate data findings and recommendations to staff, leadership, and support teams.
Demonstrate respect and dignity toward individuals served, families, guardians, advocates, and volunteers.
Support person-centered planning and individualized services.
Assist individuals in identifying personal goals, needs, and preferences.
Promote positive outcomes that increase independence, community participation, and quality of life.
Maintain regular communication with families and guardians regarding progress and behavioral support services.
Participate in evaluating new referrals to determine appropriateness for behavior support services.
Collaborate with clinical and program staff to ensure continuity of care and effective service delivery.
Stay current on evidence-based practices in behavior analysis and positive behavior supports.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
