About The Position

The Regional Window Service Representative will assist customers by servicing, repairing, or replacing aluminum, vinyl, or wood windows. This role involves traveling throughout an assigned area to service existing accounts, analyze work orders, plan daily travel schedules, investigate complaints, and conduct reliability tests on current and prospective products. The representative will develop and maintain excellent customer relationships by investigating and resolving customer problems related to product quality, installation, or maintenance. Ensuring quality customer service through personal interaction with contractors and retail customers is a key aspect of this position. The role also includes building, repairing, and installing window screens, repairing and installing glass window replacements, and making service order calls as necessary. Establishing and maintaining a home-closing walk-through procedure, documenting and tracking daily activity logs, and tracking/maintaining expenses and provided equipment are also responsibilities. The technician will establish and maintain proper relationships with product vendors, work with management and employees to facilitate efficient customer service, and support company promotional activities. This includes using in-depth product knowledge to assist customers, coordinating product training or demonstrations, recommending product additions or deletions, and coordinating efforts to achieve sales and profitability goals. Attendance at store meetings and training sessions is also required, along with performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
  • Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customers with personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Basic and intermediate knowledge of building products.
  • Must have a current driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
  • Previous experience installing and repairing windows is required.

Responsibilities

  • Travels throughout assigned area to service existing accounts by analyzing work orders, planning daily travel schedule, investigate complaints, conduct reliability tests on current and prospective products.

  • Ensures quality customer service through personal interaction with contractors and retail customers.
  • Analyzes assigned work orders to determine and plan the most efficient travel schedule to properly service retail and commercial customers.
  • Builds, repairs, and installs window screens as necessary to properly satisfy customer and management requirements.
  • Repairs and installs glass window replacements as necessary.
  • Makes service order calls as necessary to the assigned retail store or vendor of the product.
  • Establishes and maintains a home-closing walk-through procedure, ensuring that all windows operate as required and appearance properly satisfies customer expectations.
  • Documents and tracks a daily activity log of service and repair transactions that are made.
  • Reports activity log on a weekly basis to the assigned supervisor or manager.
  • Tracks and maintains expenses related to the position.
  • Provides reports to management as required regarding these expenses.
  • Tracks and maintains equipment and tools that are provided for the position.
  • Establishes and maintains proper relationships with product vendors and vendor employees.
  • Works with and through corporate, regional, and store management and employees to facilitate efficient customer service and response for products with residential and commercial customers.
  • Supports all company promotional activities with appropriate training, staffing, merchandising, or selling assistance.
  • Uses in-depth knowledge of product application to assist customers in selecting products.
  • Coordinates product training or demonstrations for customers as needed.
  • Recommends additions, or deletions, of products and merchandise to be sold in retail stores based on customer input and market activity.
  • Coordinates efforts within assigned areas to assist in achieving store, regional, and company sales and profitability goals.
  • Attends all store meetings and training sessions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
