About The Position

Implements NHG strategies and operational plans, develops teams, achieves financial goals, and ensures compliance with brand standards within a designated geographic region. This role involves leading and directing daily field operations, implementing and enforcing policies, ensuring product quality aligns with brand standards, advising and directing General Managers, communicating with stakeholders, staying relevant with industry trends, and understanding local installations and markets within the region. The position ensures maximum utilization of facilities, equipment, resources, and personnel, and partners in facilities planning. It is responsible for associate satisfaction, guest service and satisfaction, and management and staff development, ensuring staff are properly trained. The role also oversees inventory management, conducts advisory visits, directs and monitors operating and financial performance, and partners in financial and capital planning. It involves team evaluations, implementing staffing and operational standards, providing input on marketing strategies and inventory management, developing POA&Ms, and hiring General Managers and key staff. The position requires performing full supervisory responsibilities and involves significant travel.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience performing responsible work in hotel/motel operations/hospitality industry that enabled the applicant to gain a background in operational practices, skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships, and the ability to exercise mature judgment.
  • Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience that provided an in-depth knowledge of hotel/motel or institutional management or other related service industry management and operations.
  • Experience should include a background in most of the following: procurement of supplies and equipment, operational efficiency, sanitation, internal finance controls, budgeting, staffing, room design, and decorating, or similar work that demonstrated the knowledge and abilities of the operational area.
  • At least 3 years experience as a hotel general manager responsible for daily operations, marketing, financial performance, administration, guest relations, personnel, marketing, etc.
  • Candidates must be eligible for and obtain a Secret Clearance within 6 months of appointment.
  • The incumbent of this position must file a Financial Disclosure Report (OGE) Form 450, as required.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for 9 months of experience, up to a maximum of a 4-year bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or other related fields for 3 years of general experience.
