The Regional Training Manager (RTM) position supports retail field training implementation specifically for Family Dollar in the Miami, Florida area. This role is responsible for Field Talent Development, Instructor led training, District Manager Training and Train-The-Trainer sessions. Key accountabilities include the selection, assessment, oversight, certification, and ongoing management of the Model Store Training Program and the Store Training Program. The RTM ensures the quality and full completion of training and certification for District Managers and Store Managers before they are assigned to their new roles. This position involves professional classroom and in-store experiential facilitation of major field training initiatives, establishing and maintaining effective regional business partnerships, and consulting as a subject matter expert (SME) in instructional design and training content development for the field. The RTM strategically plans and aligns training deployment in key markets to support the People Plan and learning governance strategy. This position reports directly to the Zone Training Director. RTMs possess comprehensive knowledge of store operations, act as the field’s “store experts,” and deliver best-in-class learning through facilitation and experiential learning. They serve as training business partners to Regional Directors and District Managers, providing updates and solutions that support company strategies. RTMs interact with all levels of the business, including senior leaders. This individual models Family Dollar values and professionalism, contributing to a positive work environment. Emotional intelligence, adaptability, and change leadership are critical due to the role's involvement in new business initiatives. Travel up to 12 days per month is required, potentially including air travel and driving for up to 5 hours.
