About The Position

At Farmers Mutual Hail (FMH), our mission is simple: protect the livelihoods and legacies of America’s farmers through the complete farm insurance solutions we offer. As America’s Crop Insurance Company™, we’re headquartered in the U.S. and have been owned by the farmers we insure for over 125 years. FMH is seeking a Regional Trainer. This individual designs, develops, and delivers innovative instructor-led classes and webinars for the home office, field, and agents including developing and maintaining supplemental training materials. The ideal candidate will reside within North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Western Nebraska or surrounding area.

Requirements

  • One to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Associates Degree related to training, education, or production agriculture required (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
  • Strong presentation skills necessary.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently is a must.
  • Ability to operate various audio-visual equipment is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the delivery of crop insurance-related content to customers in an assigned territory.
  • Manages and services an assigned training territory in conjunction with the field sales, underwriting, and claims teams.
  • Designs and develops content to be used in training initiatives relating to software applications, processes, and insurance products.
  • Delivers training presentations to internal and external audiences on a regular basis, both in-person and via webinar.
  • In conjunction with supervisor, performs needs analysis review and collaborates with assigned subject matter experts (SMEs) on objectives and course content.
  • Applies adult learning theories and best practices in instructional design and delivery to achieve intended outcomes.
  • Effectively and successfully manages small to medium projects to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.
