Requirements

  • One year of experience evaluating and coordinating information related to traffic data, incidents or conditions.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Juniata, McKean, Mifflin, or Potter counties.
  • Must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Observe traffic conditions through cameras, maps, scanners, and tracking systems to identify issues
  • Assess incidents and activate appropriate devices such as message boards, speed limit signs, and advisory systems
  • Communicate with police, 911 centers, and maintenance staff to support safe and efficient incident response
  • Share accurate traveler information through digital signs, advisory radio, and statewide alert systems
  • Log incident details, timelines, notifications, and actions into required reporting systems

Benefits

  • Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $46,827 (before taxes).
