About The Position

Catholic Charities Community Services of Dutchess County is looking for a full-time Regional Supervisor for the Dutchess County Case Management Program. The annual salary for this position is $75,000. This position comes with benefits. (4 weeks of vacation, 8 days of personal/sick, Medical, Dental, Vision, AFLAC plans, Retirement Plan, Life Insurance Plans) Summary: This position supervises the daily activities of Case Management, Friends of Seniors, and other Dutchess County programmatic initiatives. These initiatives include, but are not limited to, the special needs pantry program and all holiday programs. They oversee activities to ensure that the needs of vulnerable populations in our local communities are being served by Catholic Charities Community Services of Dutchess County and are responsible for regular outreach to Catholic parishes and institutions.

Requirements

  • MSW/MA preferred and will be strongly considered
  • College degree and more than five years of supervisory/administrative experience in a Human Services or Not-for-Profit organization
  • Proven years of professional growth
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, and grant preparation skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Ability to be a team player and motivate others to do the same.
  • Ability to supervise staff at remote locations.
  • Ability to contribute to preparing programmatic policies and protocols
  • Respect for and understanding of Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic tradition
  • Travel at least 50% of the time using public transportation or vehicle, traverse city streets; occasionally ascend/descend stairs, and be exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • Remain in a stationary position at a workstation and use a computer at least 40% of the time.
  • Traverse neighborhoods that may require a high level of alertness and awareness of surroundings.
  • Ability to work with the public and work with clients who require consistent and comprehensive support, some under potentially stressful conditions.
  • Carry a laptop to offsite work locations.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable vehicle.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Dutchess County social service delivery systems (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide training and regular supervision to Dutchess County Case Managers, Friends Of Seniors, interns, and other CCCSDC program staff.
  • Maintain updated information on resources in Dutchess County and provide that to the staff.
  • Actively utilize and monitor the agency-administered electronic client database system (currently Outcomes), using available reporting functions, and periodically review the cases in their area to ensure program service quality. Actively participate in system-wide data sharing through integrated digital referral systems (Unite Us) or other means.
  • Provide direct case management services and maintain a limited caseload of clients, as needed. This includes coverage during vacancies, extended illnesses, and vacations.
  • Ability to prepare grants or Request for Proposals to support the expansion of services.
  • Develop and monitor budgets, track expenditures, monitor program productivity/contract deliverables and audits to determine that all program funding is used appropriately.
  • Responsible for Special Dietary Needs Food Pantry in Dutchess County, including oversight of ordering, inventory maintenance, donation drives, and distribution.
  • Responsible for organizing CCCSDC special projects. These include Stuff-the-Bus (June and November), Adopt-A-Family and Giving Tree (Christmas), and Back-to-School Supply giveaways (August) in collaboration with other Regional Case Management Supervisors of Catholic Charities.
  • Monitor and track any donations provided to Dutchess County and submit donation logs to the Advancement Office monthly.
  • Conduct outreach to build community relationships and promote an awareness and understanding of these programs and services and foster the work of Catholic Charities. Create and continue vibrant, multi-directional partnerships with Catholic pastors, parishes and institutions throughout the county.
  • Collaborate with all regulatory agencies, funders, and community partner agencies. (i.e., DSS, DMH, Field Hall, etc.)
  • Participate in agency and/or county-based committees as assigned or approved by Supervisor.
  • Any other duties assigned by Supervisor or by program-specific needs.
