About The Position

The Regional Sourcing Specialist plays a critical role in strengthening our international supply base and ensuring continuity of supply across multiple regions and commodities. This mid-level position is well-suited for an experienced sourcing, purchasing, or procurement professional who is ready to broaden their impact in a dynamic, global environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead sourcing initiatives, and help drive supplier strategies that support long-term business growth and resilience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, procurement, or a closely related role, preferably within a global or multi-site organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, engineering, supply chain, business, or a closely related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading negotiations and managing small to medium value procurement projects.
  • Strong English reading and writing skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders across multiple regions.
  • Ability to work flexibly across time zones to support collaboration with teams in Europe and the United States, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Proficiency with standard business software, including Microsoft 365 (especially Excel), and the ability to learn and use enterprise systems such as SAP.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and respect for diverse perspectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in global sourcing or procurement within manufacturing, plastics, or related industries.
  • Direct experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or other business intelligence/analytics tools.
  • Experience supporting or implementing supplier risk management initiatives and cost-optimization projects.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with internal stakeholders to meet quality, cost, delivery, and compliance objectives.
  • Develop and maintain secondary and tertiary sources for key materials to enhance supply chain resilience and mitigate risk.
  • Prepare and manage bid requests, proposals, and related documentation, and support competitive procurement processes in accordance with company policies.
  • Lead or support supplier negotiations and assist with the execution of agreements that promote competitive market positioning and long-term value.
  • Coordinate onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring all required forms, certifications, and documentation are complete, accurate, and compliant with company and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor market conditions for assigned product lines/commodities, recommending actions to manage risk, optimize costs, and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Support ongoing supplier performance management, including KPI review, issue escalation, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Serve as an operational partner to the Indirect Sourcing organization by managing end-to-end purchase order execution within multiple ERP environments and ensuring alignment with category strategies and internal procurement controls.
