About The Position

The Regional Service Manager will oversee the Service Managers in their assigned region, focusing on the business and administrative aspects of the Service Department. This role is crucial for ensuring customer satisfaction and requires a deep understanding of automobile inspection, repair estimation, insurance coordination, and supervision of repair processes.

Requirements

  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Extensive knowledge repair techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to read work orders submitted by insurance adjusters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of technical school program OR a three-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
  • Five years of experience in auto body repair.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the Service Managers in their assigned region to ensure operations for the service departments are ran effectively and efficiently.
  • Working with other regional managers to write department policies and procedures and smooth implementation to improve operations
  • Creates training materials for new employees within the service department
  • Inspects vehicle to determine extent of body damage.
  • Plans the repair work that is necessary; estimates cost of labor and parts for customers.
  • Coordinates with insurance adjusters to determine total repair costs and types of replacement parts to be used.
  • Notifies customers of repair costs or insurance settlement.
  • Orders parts and materials needed for repair job.
  • Sets up repair schedule and oversees work of auto body repairers.
  • Ensures all work has been executed correctly by inspecting vehicles after repair.
  • Communicates with customers throughout repair process.
  • Creates invoices for completed work.
  • Ensures payments are made by customer or insurance company.
  • Performs other related duties as needed.
  • Hires and trains new staff.
  • Organizes and oversees employees’ work and schedules.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
