About The Position

In alignment with Microsoft values, this role is for a Regional Security Operations Manager within CO+I Physical Security. The position is part of a global team focused on protecting Microsoft Cloud's personnel, infrastructure, data, and confidential information. The role is accountable for physical security operations at datacenters and related facilities within a specific region, managing in-region Datacenter Security Operations Managers. Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to meet security requirements, anticipating security disruptions, developing mitigation strategies, and communicating risk analysis findings. Requirements

  • 6+ years experience in security program or program management or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required pre-offer and post-hire for this role.
  • Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate U.S. Government clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.
  • This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements.
  • You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.
  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.
  • Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customer and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law.
  • To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government Clearance .

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Risks, or related field AND 12+ years experience in Security Program or Program Management OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years people management experience
  • Industry security certifications such as CPP, PSP, or other relevant security certification
  • Experience with or exposure to regulatory and industry compliance frameworks and audits (e.g. ISO27001, SOC, PCI)
  • Experience with government regulations on secure builds

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure the quality and high-performance delivery of one of the largest contract/vendor security guarding programs in the industry.
  • Continuously assess and scorecard the vendors’ performance and staffing levels, manage budget and forecasting, recommend changes to reduce costs and optimize, ensure workplace health and safety programs are in place and running well.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain physical security Standard Operations Procedures (SOP), and continuously improve the efficiency and maturity of the overall physical security program.
  • Provide situational awareness and analysis of the region’s security environment.
  • Attract, develop and retain talent; deliver results through teamwork and effectively manage a team, where members are located in datacenter throughout multiple countries within the region.
  • Provides guidance to teams to design, implement, and monitor security controls to treat risks to infrastructure, business, people, and assets and then monitor the effectiveness of measures taken to modify risks.
  • On-call 24x7x365 and travel periodically as planned or unplanned within or outside of assigned region.
  • Receive escalations/notifications of physical security and business impacting incidents/events and appropriately triage and assess, ensuring that leadership is made initially and continuously aware when appropriate, and that the appropriate personnel are managing the incident response effectively.
