About The Position

The Regional Security Manager (RSM) – Midwest Region is responsible for leading, implementing, and continuously improving the physical security and industrial security program across assigned US operations. The role ensures compliance with Schneider Electric Global and Regional Security Directives, applicable governmental security programs, and relevant federal and local regulations. The RSM reports to the US Security Operations Manager. The RSM conducts site risk assessments, drives corrective action plans, develops and delivers security-related training, supports security system design and deployment, leads security investigations and incident response activities. The role works closely with Human Resources, Facilities, Safety, Legal, and site / business leadership to protect employees, assets, information, and operations while maintaining alignment with US legal, privacy, and labor requirements. This position is open to candidates based in Nashville, TN or Fairfield, OH.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ security experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Security Management, Business, or related field.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must pass a criminal records check.
  • Travel up to 30% as needed

  • Working knowledge of CTPAT physical security standards.
  • Lead or support site, cluster, country, or enterprise‑level security initiatives to enhance security culture and posture.
  • Prioritize and manage competing security needs through risk‑based decision‑making and compensatory measures.
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, implement, and oversee physical security programs that prevent unauthorized access and protect people, workplace, assets, and operations.
  • Conduct periodic security assessments, audits, and risk reviews; document findings and lead corrective actions plans with the business risk owners.
  • Ensure compliance with Schneider Electric security directives and applicable federal regulatory obligations.
  • Evaluate existing security controls and recommend improvements to mitigate risks across manufacturing, distribution sites, R&D, and offices.
  • Serve as the primary regional security contact for assigned US facilities.
  • Provide oversight of contract guarding services.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Customs Border Protection (CBP) Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT).
  • Ensure all security activities comply with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable federal privacy legislation.
  • Drive compliance with the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) where applicable through training, monthly meetings and execution of required security audits.
  • Become the subject matter expert (SME) for all aspects of industrial security with an emphasis on physical measures such as fences, gates, guards, surveillance systems, and access controls to prevent theft, trespassing, sabotage, and emergency situations.
  • Ensure all identified deficiencies at assigned sites are uploaded into the Resolver database and managed until closed with appropriate evidence.
  • Support designated sites deployment of security technologies (access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance) in accordance with GDPR and Schneider Electric governing policies.
  • Ensure systems are deployed and operated in accordance with Schneider Electric technology requirements.
  • Deliver security training programs, including workplace violence prevention, and other general security awareness.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with site level security/leadership team to educate and mentor and clarify security requirements, discuss both current and future security projects to ensure alignment and on time delivery of system upgrades.
  • Conduct routine site visits to foster relationships and establish yourself as the primary security contact for the site.
  • Coordinate and manage security incidents as required and utilize the Resolver reporting tool as necessary.
  • Conduct investigations into theft, workplace violence escalations, and other security-related risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Complete incident investigations and reports, providing clear, professional reporting, as appropriate.
  • Serve as a point of contact for physical security matters across the region.
  • Partner with HR, Facilities, Safety, and other site functions to strengthen local security practices.
  • Coach and support Site Security Coordinators with management of site security responsibilities.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with local site stakeholders and functional partners.
  • Actively participate in all security related project meetings to ensure all baseline security requirements are met and that excessive or additional security measures are employed based either on local area risk or at the direction of the site leader.
