About The Position

This role oversees armed security operations across multiple states, providing leadership and management for a team of security personnel supporting a high-profile government contract. The Regional Security Manager ensures operational compliance, personnel management, and consistent communication with stakeholders while maintaining rigorous security standards. This position requires frequent travel, strong operational oversight, and expertise with security systems, including magnetometers and detection wands. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, remote work environment, managing complex programs and building a high-performing, disciplined security team. Success in this role will be measured by operational effectiveness, compliance adherence, and team performance across multiple sites.

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant security experience, including at least three (3) years in security management overseeing large, multi-state programs.
  • Prior experience as a licensed security guard preferred.
  • Expertise in operating and managing security equipment, including magnetometers and hand-held detection wands.
  • Previous experience supporting a US Government contract, familiarity with USCIS or similar agency operations highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proven ability to manage personnel remotely across multiple locations.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel frequently on short notice.
  • Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background check and maintain required security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee security operations at approximately 15 government sites across multiple states, managing armed security personnel to ensure consistent staffing, access control, and incident response.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, maintaining daily communication and providing timely operational and incident reports.
  • Directly manage, supervise, and lead a team of 30 licensed armed security guards, handling scheduling, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Recruiting on staffing, onboarding, and employee compliance matters.
  • Ensure all personnel maintain proper licensure and compliance with federal, state, and local security regulations.
  • Verify proper maintenance, calibration, and operational use of security equipment, including walk-through magnetometers and hand-held detection wands.
  • Maintain up-to-date security procedures, post orders, and emergency response plans, ensuring full compliance and understanding by all personnel.
