About The Position

Kaplan North America, a leader in test preparation, is seeking SAT and ACT test prep enthusiasts for its regional teaching team in the Greater Los Angeles area. This role involves traveling to various locations to teach test preparation classes, offering a chance to help students succeed on their college admissions exams. It's a fulfilling job for those who enjoy exploring new places and developing professional skills. Teachers receive paid training, use a pre-existing curriculum, and have access to ongoing development in teaching, presenting, and mentoring. Requirements

• Scores within the 90th percentile of the SAT or ACT
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to work independently with a remote manager
• Passion for helping others achieve their goals
• Respond to quickly changing needs with agility and flexibility
• Travel required- lead time, locations and dates will be determined based on business needs and availability

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person SAT and/or ACT preparation sessions across a variety of regional locations
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver SAT and ACT prep and/or other educational content tailored to student needs
• Prepare students using teaching methods and a carefully curated curriculum to fully immerse students in the language of the SAT or ACT
• Support students both in and out of class, enabling them to solve problems with critical thinking
• Continue to learn via world-class professional training, coaching, and development
• Enjoy a flexible, part-time teaching schedule
• Connect with colleagues remotely while completing training and class prep from the comfort and convenience of home
• Potential for additional part-time employment opportunities based on business needs and meeting certain requirements, including online tutoring.
