About The Position

This regional role will organize and monitor operational tasks to improve the efficiency of the sales department. The mission of the role is to grow Gross Profit by supporting field sales with Margin Management, Account Management, New Business Development, and Sales Metric Measurement. Field sales personnel have time commitments that require customer facing obligations to foster organic growth and retention.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution and demonstrated success managing analytically rigorous initiatives.
  • Financial Acumen: broad understanding of Gross Profit and Margin.

  • Attention to Detail: sense of urgency with no tolerance for transaction sloppiness.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that practices and procedures are working properly to improve margin through daily PIER review, daily Price List integrity/maintenance/deviation approval, and weekly OOPS review.
  • Approve Price Adjustments (GP% increase or GP$/uom decrease), take ownership of Price issues and Transaction QC, follow through to resolution, define root cause, and design a solution to prevent recurrence.
  • Set price recommendations for Price Optimization action tasks in MS Dynamics.
  • Prepare Tier 1 Customer Equity Statements and schedule quarterly Business Reviews with cross-functional participants.
  • Assign Wallet-Share rank to top 10 customers in each territory every quarter.
  • Coordinate Tier 4 customer reassignments and monitor changes in activity.
  • Facilitate and track Sales Program lifecycle (assessments, sourcing, data assembly, compliance, renewal).
  • Act as Expediter/Referee between CS, purchasing, production, and sales.
  • Monitor invoice velocity and communicate potential churn.
  • Monitor and report Pipeline value, volume, velocity, and win rates.
  • Own all elements of the CPQ function.
  • Identify and promote Strategic Account Services participation.
  • Track and analyze sales data; monitor and resolve negative trending.
  • Manage all Sales Report distribution.
  • Prepare commercial portion of Annual Budget process and track variances.
  • Prepare Scorecards and Sales Rankings and schedule monthly Sales Territory Debriefs.
  • Detail each category of the Sales Projection Bridge.
  • Act as a Champion for internalizing MS Dynamics as a CRM Super User.
