About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, market share, and brand visibility for Rytec within the high-speed door industry. This role focuses on developing and maintaining strong relationships with dealers, end users, and key industry stakeholders while expanding market presence throughout the assigned territory of Northern California. The ideal candidate will possess a proven record in outside industrial sales with direct experience selling high-speed doors. Success in this position requires strong industry knowledge, technical aptitude, relationship-building skills, and the ability to independently manage a large geographic territory. Candidates must reside within the assigned region of Northern California. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of outside industrial sales experience required.
  • Direct experience selling high-speed doors is required. Candidates without experience in high-speed door sales will not be considered.
  • Experience in material handling, loading dock equipment, or related industrial markets strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining strong relationships with dealers, distributors, end users, and key stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging across diverse audiences and business environments.
  • High mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate technical product information effectively.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and sales pipeline management.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory (approximately 75% of domestic travel required).
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile liability and property damage insurance required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in material handling, loading dock equipment, or related industrial markets strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Three to ten years of related sales experience in industrial products or systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with Rytec’s value proposition while strengthening existing dealer and customer relationships.
  • Develop and execute strategic lead generation initiatives to drive sustained sales growth.
  • Present and sell Rytec products and services to dealers, distributors, and end users to achieve territory and company objectives.
  • Create and implement territory action plans, including target account development and customer engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maximize lead conversion and sales close rates.
  • Follow up on leads, referrals, and customer inquiries generated through field activities and marketing initiatives.
  • Prepare and deliver professional presentations, proposals, quotations, and sales agreements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely customer and pipeline information within CRM systems.
  • Guide customers and internal stakeholders through the sales process to successfully close business opportunities.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by proactively addressing dealer and end-user concerns.
  • Monitor competitive activity, market trends, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities and strategic advantages.
  • Prepare regular reports including sales activity, pipeline status, forecasts, and market intelligence.
  • Communicate customer feedback, competitive insights, and market opportunities to internal teams.
  • Partner with Marketing to enhance brand awareness and generate product demand throughout the territory.
  • Attend and participate in sales meetings, trade shows, product seminars, and industry events.
