About The Position

PlanetBids is looking for a driven and innovative Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to help propel our expansion across government, education, and construction sectors. In this role, you’ll be a key player in driving growth for our GovTech solutions in your assigned territory, working with small to enterprise-sized government organizations, K-12/Higher Education, and construction sectors. You’ll manage a packed lead queue, conduct engaging product demos, and work closely with a passionate sales team to prospect, qualify, negotiate, and close deals.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in software or digital sales, with big bonus points for experience in the civil industry.
  • SaaS product sales or support experience is a must.
  • Experience with HubSpot Sales is also a must.
  • Though based remotely, the ability to travel up to 25% is required.
  • Demonstrated wins in customer-facing sales or demand roles is essential.
  • Comfortable presenting via video and digital platforms like Teams or Zoom while recording or being recorded.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to follow PlanetBids sales processes and procedures compliantly.
  • A knack for using empathy and problem-solving to connect customer needs with our solutions.
  • Able to work independently and collaborate with a team in a fully remote galaxy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-booked product demonstrations
  • Help guide and build an integrated sales & marketing prospect experience
  • Utilize data resources, Hubspot, and industry insights to cultivate and qualify our prospects
  • Execute on campaigns designed by the sales & marketing group
  • Meet and speak with prospective stakeholders across the company
  • Assist in all aspects of sales related activities
  • Demo, Quote and Close prospects
  • Data entry (and maintenance) of prospect and contact data in the Hubspot CRM
  • Identify market segments and generate strong prospects
  • Prospect leads through carefully crafted email campaigns and cold calls, outreach and more
