About The Position

Numa is building the platform to power AI-native dealerships, rearchitecting automotive service and sales with advanced AI agents that automate customer interactions, streamline operations, and reimagine how dealerships work. Numa integrates AI into every aspect of dealership functions—from rescuing customer calls and voicemails that generate more revenue, to reducing customer resolution times that drive overall customer satisfaction (CSI), to improving dealership team productivity and accountability. Numa has raised $50 million from leading investors (Google, Threshold, Costanoa, Mitsui, and Touring Capital). We're looking for a Regional Sales Manager to drive growth and customer success within an assigned territory. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business, expanding relationships with existing customers, and serving as a trusted advisor to dealership leaders looking to modernize their operations through AI-powered solutions. This role sits at the intersection of sales, relationship management, and strategic account growth. Success requires someone who can build strong relationships with dealership decision-makers, uncover opportunities, navigate complex sales cycles, and create long-term value for customers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong hunter mentality who thrives in a highly autonomous environment and takes ownership of territory performance. You enjoy opening doors, creating opportunities where none previously existed, and building relationships that translate into long-term revenue growth. While success requires strong account management skills, this role is best suited for someone energized by prospecting, winning new business, and consistently expanding their territory.

Requirements

  • Hunter mentality with a track record of proactively creating opportunities, opening new accounts, and exceeding growth targets.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive software sales, automotive technology, or a related customer-facing role within the automotive industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and driving territory growth.
  • Demonstrated success as a hunter, consistently generating new business opportunities while growing and retaining existing customer relationships.
  • Proven ability to prospect, build pipeline, and create opportunities within a defined geographic territory.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to uncover business needs and align solutions to customer outcomes.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar sales technologies.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of results, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory growth strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Drive new logo acquisition through consistent prospecting, networking, referral generation, and territory development activities.
  • Create opportunities through proactive outreach and in-person engagement rather than relying solely on inbound demand.
  • Identify, prospect, and engage dealership decision-makers through in-person meetings, phone, email, LinkedIn, industry events, and other outreach channels.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline while managing opportunities through all stages of the sales process.
  • Conduct consultative discovery conversations, product demonstrations, and presentations tailored to dealership needs and business objectives.
  • Balance new business development with strategic management and expansion of existing customer relationships.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities for expansion, adoption, and long-term partnership.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to dealership leaders by understanding operational challenges and recommending solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Maintain regular travel throughout the assigned territory to build relationships, conduct onsite meetings, and support customer success.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from sale through implementation.
  • Maintain accurate account information, opportunity tracking, and forecasting within CRM systems.
  • Stay informed on automotive industry trends, competitive solutions, and emerging technologies that impact dealership operations.
  • Represent Numa at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
