About The Position

An established and growing distributor in the building products industry is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead a significant territory across Kentucky, Tennessee, and surrounding markets. This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity for a sales professional who thrives on driving growth, developing teams, and building strong industry relationships. The successful candidate will oversee a multi-location operation, lead a network of independent sales representatives and sales personnel, and play a key role in executing an aggressive growth strategy.

Requirements

  • Proven sales leadership experience within the building products industry.
  • Strong knowledge of one or more of the following product categories: Millwork, Windows, Doors, Cabinetry, Building materials and related products
  • Experience managing large territories and multi-location sales organizations.
  • Demonstrated success leading both direct and indirect sales teams.
  • Established relationships within the residential construction and building products community.
  • Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Active involvement with organizations such as: National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Local and regional builder associations, Millwork and building products industry networks

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for a regional sales organization spanning multiple warehouse and distribution locations.
  • Manage approximately 50 direct and indirect reports, including independent sales representatives and sales personnel.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies designed to achieve targeted growth objectives.
  • Drive approximately 20% annual sales growth through market expansion, customer development, and team performance.
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing sales talent.
  • Strengthen relationships with key customers, builders, dealers, contractors, and channel partners.
  • Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to ensure exceptional customer service and execution.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities within the building products sector.
