About The Position

Tarkett Sports and Tarkett Sports Indoor are seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the Great Lakes Region (OH, MI, IN, NY). This role is based remotely in the New York area, with a strong preference for candidates near major New York airports due to extensive regional travel. The Regional Sales Manager will report to the National Sales Manager and be responsible for driving sales of Tarkett Sports Indoor products. This involves building and maintaining relationships with partners, distributors, flooring contractors, architects, designers, and end-users, ensuring customer satisfaction, and providing necessary information and tools for product selection and purchasing. Tarkett Sports Indoor specializes in premium sports and fitness flooring solutions, and is part of Tarkett Sports, a world leader in sports construction and surfacing known for pioneering innovations and a comprehensive portfolio of solutions.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience
  • Experience in project tracking analysis tools & and CRM systems (Salesforce)

  • Preference in manufacturing/ construction sales
  • Candidates located near major New York airports are strongly preferred to support regional travel

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth, preferably in the flooring, construction, or sports facility industries
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients from initial contact through purchasing, installation, completion and follow-up with service after the sale
  • Plan sales strategies to increase sales
  • Create business and develop the turnover in their territory (with distributors, flooring contractors, architects, designers and end users) including sales leads in athletic areas such as schools, colleges, and sports arenas with thorough follow ups
  • Ensure dealers and distribution partners achieve their full potential and have access to appropriate support
  • Promote the products to the local architects, schools district and public and private institutions
  • Use project tracking analysis tools & and CRM systems
  • Represent Tarkett Sports Indoor at National and Regional Trade Shows
  • Forecast sales and manage territory budget
  • Conduct market research and analysis related to client needs
  • Develop and present new sales techniques and strategies to the team to drive revenue growth
  • Travel, when necessary, by several modes of transportation
