About The Position

Halter is seeking a driven sales leader to join their growing team in Victoria, Australia. This role focuses on expanding Halter's presence in the Gippsland and North Victoria regions by engaging directly with farmers, championing the product, and converting them into customers. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, field-oriented individual with a "never give up attitude" who will significantly contribute to Halter's success in Victoria. Responsibilities include setting and managing sales quotas and commissions for the Victoria and South Australia team, managing sales capabilities, and mentoring junior sales staff. The role involves end-to-end sales processes, from cold calling and on-farm meetings to understanding customer farm systems, presenting Halter's value proposition, and closing deals. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of farming.

Requirements

  • Complete end-to-end sales skill set with at least five years of experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully sourcing new prospects, securing meetings with new leads, and creating new sales opportunities.
  • Highly experienced in value-based sales with a proven history of closing deals and high-volume sales results.
  • Solid communication skills to present Halter's value proposition.
  • Results-driven, highly motivated with exceptional time management skills.
  • Adaptability in a high-stakes sales environment and the ability to think on your feet.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in beef farming or within the agricultural sector.
  • Sales experience in the technology-based industry.
  • A university degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Setting and managing quotas, commissions, and other sales management tasks for the sales team.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing junior sales staff to help drive their professional growth and reach targets.
  • Sourcing new leads and opportunities through proactive outreach, referrals, industry events, and other channels, as well as responding to inbound inquiries.
  • Meeting high growth sales targets by managing the pipeline through to close, including screening, qualifying, executing on-farm demonstrations, and negotiating contracts.
  • Collaborating with Customer Success to ensure successful post-sales handoff, implementations, customer satisfaction, and account renewal.
  • Providing support, insight, and communication to build and foster trusting relationships with customers.
  • Leveraging opportunities and participating in relevant industry/Halter events and demonstrations.
  • Building and leveraging industry relationships to establish and maintain Halter's brand.
  • Focusing on customer needs and providing feedback to drive the product roadmap.
  • Working with the team to optimize and evolve the sales process for efficiency and predictability as the company scales.
