About The Position

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for educating potential customers on GROB’s Universal Machine (UM) product line and developing a market for these high end CNCs. The opportunity to sell our UM product line exists within the aerospace, mold and die, and medical device industries as well as standard job shops around the country. The Regional Sales Manager will be required to develop their technical skills related to the GROB product, knowing in detail what we do and sell, prospecting successful technical sales in the future. The territory will include Michigan and Ontario, Canada. Applicants should reside in Michigan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred; however, prior equivalent experience and training may be considered in lieu of an engineering degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in technical manufacturing sales
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel 75% within pre-defined region
  • Self-starter and team player
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CNC machine technology and industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement specific plans to meet monthly targets
  • Manage relationships with existing customers; research and cold call new potential customers in a pre-defined region
  • Educate customers on GROB’s UM product line
  • Support the GROB Team in generating technical & commercial proposals
  • Track all calls, leads, meetings and sales in CRM
  • Obtain vital market information for marketing/proposal/upper management
  • Accurately and timely account for sales, receipts, and expenses from each sales trip as per company policy
