About The Position

Accelerate sales growth within the specified region through direct sales new business development and effective existing account management. Commercially consistently strives to exceed annual targets adhering to margin and profit thresholds. Technically has a solid experience in powder handling and processing. This role will also include managing indirect sales via agents and partners.

Requirements

Fluent in written and verbal Spanish is essential; Portuguese would also be an advantage.
Highly motivated, self-starting individual with the ability to plan, organize, work under pressure, meet deadlines and work both independently and part of a team.
Capable of effectively and accurately working on several long-term projects at one time.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with active listening.
Has the ability to connect with their audience and present in a professional and engaging manner.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building capability using a trusted advisor approach.
Possesses a solutions-oriented approach; has the ability to handle objections and to face and overcome adversity.
Ability to travel, as required, on a regular basis.
Must be physically able to climb onto structures, stairs, ladders, scaffolds, customer facilities, and industrial plants, inspect equipment for failure and process analysis and enter equipment access points.
Proficient in utilization of Microsoft Office and Dynamics.
Results driven and motivated to achieve and exceed targets.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing and/or Engineering discipline. Equivalent experience commensurate with the knowledge gained through completion of one of the above degrees will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Extensive and relevant experience in industry field sales, ideally capital goods equipment.
Knowledge of powder handling and powder processing theory is important.
A valid driver’s license is essential.

Nice To Haves

Portuguese would also be an advantage.
Experience with particle size reduction, blending and screening technologies advantageous.

Responsibilities

Identify industry, consumer and competitive trends; using credible market intelligence to make recommendations for action plans and programs in line with the Company’s strategy and growth initiatives.
Forming partnerships and networking to develop and maintain client relationships.
Gathering sales intelligence on new and existing customers, following up on qualified leads but also organic lead generation to generate new business. This will include web research, contacting directly via email, telephone and networking at events, seminars and exhibitions.
Display a strategic approach to managing and nurturing business relationships with key accounts.
Retain loyal clients and increase revenue by connecting with new customers.
Oversee the full client relationship, ensuring satisfaction, understanding needs, and providing customers with service, support and improvement opportunities to increase aftersales activity.
Determining if the customer is a good fit for the proposed product or system by following established qualification criteria for assessing opportunities.
Manage customer site visits, help co-ordinate demonstrations and trials at MPT and/ or customer site.
Work with customers and internal resources to review and define User Requirement Specifications.
Help define and coordinate MPT’s response to enquiries (type, format, timescale and content).
Follow up Proposals with customers in a timely manner.
Negotiate and close orders.
Ensure non-standard Ts & Cs are approved appropriately.
Communicate accurate sales forecasts by month, quarter and year adhering to MPT’s established forecasting methodology.
Sharing market & customer information with the marketing team for use in developing and delivering marketing activities.
Contribute to the customer journey by responding to enquiries in the agreed timeframes, ongoing lead nurturing, social media amplification and webinars.
Evaluating Leads, Opportunities, Wins & Losses to measure success and give constructive feedback to marketing for the ongoing improvement of Lead Generation.
Identify and secure case studies & testimonials from which marketing can create campaigns.
Create and develop supporting information for customers by creating PowerPoint Presentations, Process Flow Sheets etc.
Ensure the CRM (Dynamics) is routinely updated i.e. daily and weekly – especially in relation to customer visits, quoting, forecasting and similar information.
Complete an accurate New Customer Set up Form for credit checks in a timely manner.
Assist with the production of reports for Monthly Business Reviews and Commercial meetings.
