About The Position

As a Regional Sales Manager - Dry Mineral Processing at McLanahan, you'll play a critical role in expanding market share and driving sales growth for our dry processing equipment throughout North America. This position combines technical expertise, relationship management, and strategic sales execution to support customers in the mining and mineral processing industries. You'll work closely with customers, dealers, engineers, project managers, and internal teams to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and provide ongoing support throughout the sales process. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Mining, Mineral Processing, or a related field preferred.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in sales, applications, engineering, or technical support related to dry mineral processing, mining, crushing, or screening equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of dry mineral processing equipment and applications.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively (approximately 50-70%).
  • Strong understanding of feeding, crushing, screening, sizing/classification, and material conveyance applications.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to develop trusted relationships with customers, dealers, and internal teams.
  • Strong consultative selling and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to analyze customer requirements and recommend effective technical solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to use sound judgment and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on customer support.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Drive territory sales growth by developing and executing sales strategies.
  • Promote dry processing solutions, including equipment for feeding, crushing, screening, dry sizing, classification, and material conveyance.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with equipment dealers and sales representatives.
  • Support equipment selection and application reviews by evaluating material characteristics, throughput requirements, particle size, and desired processing outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing support to existing customers and develop new business opportunities.
  • Assist customers with technical questions, equipment performance, and application support.
  • Coordinate and participate in trade shows, conferences, customer visits, and other industry events.
  • Manage sales opportunities by following up on leads, preparing quotations, and working with customers throughout the sales process.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Deliver sales presentations, technical training programs, and product education sessions.
  • Coordinate or perform material testing related to various dry processing applications.
  • Prepare quotations, reports, proposals, correspondence, and other sales-related documentation.
  • Stay current on industry trends in mining and dry mineral processing technologies, applications, and market developments.
  • Participate in business improvement efforts and contribute ideas for customer satisfaction and operational performance.
  • Travel extensively to support customers, including visits to customer sites, dealer locations, trade shows, and industry events throughout North America and internationally as needed.
