About The Position

The Budd Group is seeking an experienced Regional Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives across our growing landscape and field operations throughout the Southeast. This role is ideal for safety professionals with experience in construction, heavy equipment, landscaping, utilities, transportation, manufacturing, or other field-based environments. If you're passionate about building strong safety cultures, coaching frontline teams, reducing risk, and driving operational excellence, we'd love to speak with you. As Regional Safety Manager, you will serve as the safety leader and trusted advisor for operations teams throughout North Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia. We're not looking for a "safety police officer." We're looking for a coach, mentor, and business partner who can build trust in the field while helping teams operate safely and effectively. The most successful person in this role will be someone who enjoys working alongside operations leaders, solving problems, and creating a culture where safety becomes everyone's responsibility.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of safety leadership experience in field operations, construction, landscaping, heavy equipment, industrial, manufacturing, or similar environments
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance
  • Experience conducting audits, investigations, and safety training
  • Ability to build relationships and influence teams at all levels
  • Valid Driver's License

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA certifications preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety programs across multiple locations and field operations
  • Conduct OSHA compliance audits, inspections, and site assessments
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Deliver safety training and coaching to managers and frontline employees
  • Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Monitor safety performance metrics and identify trends
  • Support workers' compensation, risk management, and loss prevention efforts
  • Partner with operational leaders to strengthen safety culture
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations
