We are currently seeking a Recruiter for our Transportation Division in Cincinnati, Ohio. Requirements

  • 0 - 3 years of work experience in the field of Human Resources, specifically in Recruitment and Selection, with a college degree, or a minimum of 4 years of directly related experience.
  • Strong computer skills required, including proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Working experience with Applicant Tracking systems. Workday preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to proof-read work for errors; be well organized with solid time management skills; and have the ability work well with time constraints, multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and recommending candidates to fill experienced, entry-level, and intern/co-op positions as needed per region.
  • Enlist the help of operations personnel to attend recruiting functions.
  • Direct and manage the branding at events, and deliver relevant training to operations/recruitment teams.
  • Partner with business groups to develop hiring goals
  • Explore the best sourcing options to help the business groups meet their hiring needs.
  • Aid in creating diversity recruiting goals.
  • Suggest new strategies for Walsh to recruit and retain diverse talent.
  • Manage applicants in our ATS including applicant sources, applicant data, and selection status.
  • Follow up with hiring managers as necessary.
  • Manage the time to get through the selection process to ensure a great candidate experience has been met.
  • Assist divisions and/or corporate management with onboarding to allow a smooth transition between the recruitment team and the receiving business group.
  • Inform/remind project management of expected exposure and knowledge that interns or co-op are to attain each work period.
  • Coach management on the importance of performance reviews for the internship program and the co-op program.
  • Remove intern and co-op candidates from the program when their performance is not satisfactory.
  • Review recruiting survey data for applicable regions, looking for opportunities to improve the candidate experience.
  • As requested, assist the regions in creating retention events for their entry-level talent.
  • As necessary, develop communication materials in a variety of formats to meet recruiting needs.
  • Maintain current knowledge in the field of Human Resources, Recruiting, Selection, and Retention through education, training, networking, professional organizations, etc.
