About The Position

The Regional QFS Manager is responsible for regional Quality and Food Safety leadership in the North American Corn division of ADM’s Carbohydrate Solutions business unit. This role provides leadership in the development, implementation, execution and performance of Quality systems, to ensure product meets quality and food safety standards. This role reports directly to the Director of Quality Food Safety, NA Corn Division, and is required to be based at an ADM location (administrative building or operations facility), agreed upon at hire.

Requirements

  • 7 year Food Safety experience and PCQI trained.
  • Prior laboratory experience / knowledge of laboratory procedures
  • Working knowledge of document management, PI, spreadsheets, Excel and databases
  • Knowledge of applicable food regulations and requirements
  • Ability to make decisions based on information and data available
  • Ability to work as a team member and provide training
  • Ability to think strategically and proactively to contribute to the development of the organization
  • Ability to motivate staff and establish positive relationships across all levels of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Provides support and guidance to local Quality Managers for decisions regarding quality/food safety impacts on products
  • Assist with the implementation and administration of the QualityOne quality management system across NA Corn manufacturing facilities
  • Supports training activities regarding Quality and Food Safety
  • Maintains appropriate staffing within the Corn Division and facilitates succession planning by ensuring skills and development goals are established and achieved
  • Ensures regional alignment with divisional and global Quality Technology Center goals and initiatives, including Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to measure success
  • Manages, plans, implements and continuously improves programs and procedures for the region
  • Distributes defined reports within the region that identify improvement area actions and ensures Management Review intervals are followed for each location
  • Monitors IRM scores and ensures action plans are in place and effective for locations with below target scores
  • Leads development, implementation and monitoring of quality verification programs within the region
  • Works with Operations teams to ensure products meet quality and food safety standards and provides guidance as needed
  • Supports overall safety goals for the region and locations
  • Support the Commercial and Customer Quality teams with guidance, recommendations, resources and customer support for quality and food safety issues
  • Travel as needed to support the needs across the division, as requested
