As a Regional Manager, you will be responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of residential communities. Your role will involve making decisions to maximize income and minimize expenses, and achieving the overall objectives of the communities in your region. You will oversee financial budgeting and reporting, as well as marketing and leasing efforts for all apartment communities in your portfolio. The Regional Manager reports to a Regional Vice President or a Vice President. You will be responsible for hiring, training, mentoring, and leading on-site professionals. Responsibilities also include planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; and addressing conflicts and resolving issues. The Regional Manager’s primary focus shall include overseeing the operations of the properties in their portfolio to ensure proper company policies and procedures are followed, professionally representing the Company with clients, employees, residents, and vendors, assisting with budget preparation, maintaining knowledge of monthly budget variance, and providing written evaluations of income and expense line items that are significantly over budget. You will also provide capital improvement suggestions for the future of the site, approve all invoices for payment, and ensure they are presented timely to the accounting department for payment. Additionally, you will oversee and manage the on-site team in their portfolio and develop a high-quality on-site team through effective recruitment, training, motivation, and coaching strategies.
