About The Position

CRM Rental Management, Inc. is seeking an experienced Regional Property Manager to oversee our Western New York Region. As a growing and dynamic company, we're looking for a motivated professional to help lead our continued success while making a positive impact on the communities we serve. The Regional Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational, financial, regulatory, and administrative performance of a portfolio of affordable housing communities. This role ensures properties are managed efficiently, maintained to high standards, and operated in compliance with all applicable regulations while supporting resident satisfaction and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of affordable housing property management experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of Tax Credit and Section 8 housing programs.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Must be able to pass a 7-year background check.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing.

Nice To Haves

  • C3P, Tax Credit, and LIHTC certifications preferred.
  • STAR certification, when applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational oversight of assigned properties and site teams.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor annual operating budgets and marketing plans.
  • Ensure compliance with affordable housing programs and regulations, including HUD, LIHTC, and Rural Development (RD) requirements.
  • Oversee resident files, recertifications, vouchers, EIV processing, and other compliance-related documentation.
  • Coordinate and prepare for site inspections, audits, and reviews conducted by HUD, DHCR, REAC, investors, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare Energy Conservation Plans and coordinate submissions through NYSERDA and other applicable agencies.
  • Monitor property performance through statistical analysis, reporting, and operational reviews.
  • Foster positive resident relations and maintain high standards of customer service.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, supervise, and evaluate on-site office staff.
  • Manage vendor and contract service relationships as needed.
  • Support employee development and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
