About the position
The Regional Programs Lead at Higher Ground is a critical role in the organization, responsible for achieving programmatic excellence in their portfolio of schools. This individual will leverage their deep experience and knowledge of Montessori pedagogy to hire, train, and retain strong talent across campuses, while also supporting effective communication with parents and staff. With a focus on building thriving school communities, the Regional Programs Lead will play a key part in ensuring high-quality Montessori programming and profitable schools. This role requires both big-picture thinking and hands-on problem-solving skills, making it ideal for someone excited about making widespread change in education.
Responsibilities
- Build programmatic excellence in school teams by utilizing deep experience and knowledge of Montessori pedagogy and data-rich metrics
- Hire, coach, support, and retain excellent Montessori educators in schools
- Secure, support, and retain mission-driven talent, including coaching teachers and shaping Heads of School
- Model in classrooms with teachers and provide action-oriented and practical feedback to improve program quality quickly
- Build capacity in school leaders to observe and provide meaningful programmatic feedback and coaching
- Focus on teacher interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and managing a Montessori substitute teacher pool
- View program quality within the lens of a profitable and thriving school
- Collaborate with the Regional Manager, Regional Operations Lead, and Regional Community Lead to ensure thriving and profitable schools
Requirements
- 5+ years' Montessori classroom experience and certification
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Montessori pedagogy
- Ability to hire, train, and retain excellent Montessori educators
- Experience in coaching and shaping instructional leaders
- Ability to provide practical feedback to improve program quality
- Capacity to build capacity in school leaders to observe and provide meaningful feedback
- Familiarity with teacher interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and managing substitute teacher pool
- Understanding of the importance of program quality in achieving profitable and thriving schools
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work with regional support team members
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
