About The Position

The jobholder is responsible for sourcing all technical goods and services, including CapEx requirements and execution, for the Consumer Health Site in Myerstown, PA. The jobholder drives category strategy execution and implementation, ensuring alignment with agreed global category and sourcing strategies. The jobholder manages procurement sourcing activities and oversees contracts for all indirect procurement demands at the site. The jobholder is responsible for stakeholder and supplier management within the region or for specific projects. The jobholder drives the function toward greater and more sustainable procurement effectiveness, supporting the company’s business growth strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or business management.
  • Relevant experience in procurement operations or supply chain management with a focus on strategic sourcing.
  • Ideally experience in procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent proficiency in English is required; other languages are an advantage.
  • You thrive in team settings and believe that great ideas come from collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • CapEx Project Site Procurement: Lead and coordinate all investment demands and sourcing requirements for the site, including mid to long-term planning of sourcing requirements for all technical goods and services.
  • Category Management: Contribute to the development of the global category strategy; implement categories, strategies, and initiatives for materials and services, ensuring alignment, compliance with procurement guidelines, and delivery of required business performance in the region.
  • Stakeholder Management: Understand business needs and engage with regional and local stakeholders to meet their priorities and requirements. Build effective, trustworthy relationships with key regional/country stakeholders.
  • Supplier Management: Manage supply agreements and contracts. Monitor and control contractual agreements and clauses over the entire lifecycle. Minimize exposure to contractual risks through the usage of terms and conditions aligned with the legal function. Provide country-specific market intelligence to mitigate supply risk, gain a competitive advantage, and make better business decisions. Conduct detailed supplier and supply market analysis at the country level, manage supplier relationships, and implement supplier management principles. Incorporate the company’s commitment to sustainable business practices into supplier relationships and ensure compliance through reports, audits, and improvement plans.
  • Sourcing: Plan and execute sourcing events to create a competitive advantage, such as spend reduction, supply security, and time-to-market. Prepare supplier negotiations, award suppliers, and conduct post-negotiation debriefs. Collaborate with external partners to conduct sourcing events and translate results into How Docs for efficient processing.

  • In the US, employees can expect to be paid a salary between $112,400.00 - $168,600.00. This range reflects the national US market rate (“salary range”) for base pay for the relevant role. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
