About The Position

Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as a Regional Portfolio Manager. This important role involves overseeing financial and compliance monitoring for properties in the Virginia Housing portfolio. It ensures mortgagors and property owners meet eligibility, income, occupancy, and regulatory requirements set by Virginia Housing, HUD, and the IRS. The position protects the Authority's interests by effectively utilizing resources for monitoring financed properties and supports automation efforts to improve operations and maintain accurate data. Effectively manage and lead a team of associates focused on the financial and compliance requirements of each portfolio under their supervision and oversight. Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in asset management and/or compliance field is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Strong working knowledge of asset management principles as well as compliance with regulatory requirements of various IRS and HUD programs.
  • The ability to conduct on-site property inspections, including navigating buildings, stairways, and grounds.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with Virginia Housing’s motor vehicle and HR policies as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous management experience
  • Industry-related designations such as the CPM, CHAM, and HCCP are preferred.
