CityServiceValcon (CSV) was founded in 1932 and has a 90-year history of exemplary customer service. It joined the NorthStar Energy family of companies in March 2022. CityServiceValcon is a market leader in fuel distribution across multiple product lines offering wholesale ground and aviation fuel programs from top national brands and independent refiners. Commercial products including propane, proprietary card lock, bulk fuel, and lubricants are distributed from its multiple locations across Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. The company serves customer needs in aviation, trucking, agriculture, mining, construction, government, and residential homes. CityServiceValcon’s experienced and long-tenured management team is committed to optimizing the business and has a track record of successful growth. In August 2025, NorthStar Energy joined CityServiceValcon with Coleman Oil Company, a trusted fuel distributor serving the Pacific and Inland Northwest. Manages and grows CityServiceValcon’s Plant operations and associated physical assets. Directs specific Plant location’s employees, operations and facilities in a profitable manner to manage existing business and target, solicit and acquire new prospective accounts. Develops, maintains and implements quality control procedures for all business lines from CSV warehouses to customer facilities. Provides outstanding service and quality products in a professional and profitable manner with honesty, integrity, teamwork, employee development and excellence in relationships. Develops strong teams through leadership by providing meaningful coaching, feedback and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalent work experience in operations, logistics and supervision.
  • Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization and from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • General understanding of driver duties and human resource laws
  • Willing to travel and work flexible hours
  • Strong computer experience in various programs
  • Analytical ability to synthesize information and draw appropriate conclusions.
  • Dependability to follow instructions and complete tasks on time.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate and exemplify CityServiceValcon’s commitment to employee and customer engagement; actively works with assigned staff to advance our reputation in the communities in which we operate.
  • Manage workflow to determine priorities and ensure appropriate resource allocation.
  • Establish a strong working relationship among drivers, service technicians, dispatchers and customer care specialists that is customer focused to drive customer growth.
  • Provide leadership consistent with company values by setting clear work expectations, performance goals, and holding employees accountable for their performance.
  • Exceed customer expectations on every level by avoiding service failures with pro-active strategies and provide products/services that attract customers.
  • Maintain financial performance by monitoring product costs, personnel, plant, office, and vehicle expense.
  • Implement marketing plans to achieve annual growth objectives.
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are being followed to meet all Federal, State, and CSV standards.
  • Communicate and document employee work performance, provide feedback on a timely basis, and fully document all employee relation concerns.
  • Interview, hire, and train employees.
