Within our U.S. water resources and community planning business, we have seen consistent growth driven by our clients’ needs to address challenges stemming from stormwater regulations, flooding, water quality impairments driven by wet weather runoff, asset management, and efforts to increase the use of green infrastructure and nature-based solutions. We anticipate an increased focus on integrated stormwater planning and holistic watershed management as State and Federal agencies emphasize controlling stormwater, non-point source pollution, and TMDL enforcement. Population growth and aging infrastructure are driving planning needs related to supply diversification, distribution and collection system expansions and rehab and repair. In addition, stormwater is often a key piece of resilience planning and implementation for communities. These services represent a strategic business initiative for Black & Veatch, and this leadership position – focused on water resources, stormwater, integrated planning, and asset management – is designed to help the company grow its market share throughout the Eastern United States by providing world-class planning and water resources services to our clients. This position is preferably based in the Eastern portion of the United States. Regular travel throughout the Eastern United States is anticipated.
