About The Position

This is for a 1 year limited duration hybrid position offering significant work-from-home flexibility. As the Regional Outreach Coordinator (ROC) for Central Oregon, you will play a key role in connecting communities with the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and helping Oregonians access the Oregon Health Plan (OHP). Serving Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson Counties, you will build and strengthen relationships with community partner organizations, identify organizations to participate in the program, and provide ongoing support to partners working to reach underserved and under-resourced communities. This is a highly collaborative role where your ability to build trust, communicate effectively, and understand the needs of diverse communities will directly support access to health care across the region. A major focus of this position is community engagement and program coordination. You will organize and facilitate informational sessions, trainings, community forums, and presentations on OHP, health care access, Social Determinants of Health, Medicaid policy, and other health-related topics. You will provide technical assistance to community partners, monitor grant activities and outcomes, help identify and address challenges, and coordinate outreach efforts to ensure communities have access to effective services. You will also represent OHA with community leaders, health care providers, Coordinated Care Organizations, Federally Qualified Health Centers, schools, local governments, and other stakeholders. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with communities, developing partnerships, solving problems, and serving as a trusted representative of a public health program. The ROC works in a highly visible environment and will regularly communicate with community partners, OHA and DHS staff, health care providers, and Oregonians. Extensive regional and statewide travel is required, with occasional overnight and out-of-state travel, as well as evening and weekend work when needed. Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years experience coordinating or administering a program OR Any combination of experience or education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.

• Demonstrated experience conducting outreach, engagement, education, or relationship-building activities with community organizations, particularly with underserved or under-resourced communities.
• Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, or coordinating partnerships with community-based organizations, health care organizations, government agencies, schools, faith-based organizations, or other community stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience delivering presentations, trainings, informational sessions, workshops, or community forums to small or large audiences.
• Demonstrated experience working with health care programs, Medicaid, Oregon Health Plan (OHP), public benefits, health insurance, or helping individuals navigate complex health care or social service systems.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating programs, projects, or community initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, deadlines, activities, or deliverables.
• Demonstrated experience providing technical assistance, guidance, or problem-solving support to partners, clients, community organizations, or other stakeholders to help achieve program goals.
• Demonstrated experience monitoring grants, contracts, funded programs, expenditures, performance measures, compliance requirements, or project outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience working with diverse communities and adapting outreach, communication, or services to address cultural, linguistic, or other community-specific needs.
• Demonstrated experience working in a field-based, regional, or mobile role requiring frequent travel to meet with community partners, stakeholders, or members of the public.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally in Spanish with community members, partners, or stakeholders. Preference may be given to candidates who can communicate in Spanish beyond basic conversational proficiency.
