About The Position
DHT is aggressively hiring experienced CDL-A drivers for immediate Regional / OTR openings. We are bringing drivers on NOW to haul van freight, with opportunities to transition into propane operations this fall. We are seeking serious drivers who want long-term opportunity, consistent work, and strong earning potential. Propane / refined fuel experience is preferred, but we will train the right driver with 2+ years of experience. Open areas include Tandem (Company & Owner Operators) in Gary, IN, Fort Wayne, IN, South Bend, IN, Grand Rapids, MI, Kalamazoo, MI, Detroit, MI, Toledo, OH, Lima, OH, Dayton, OH, Chillicothe, OH, Steubenville, OH, and Huntington, WV. Jumbo / Multi-Axle (Company Drivers Only) are available in Grand Rapids, MI, Detroit, MI, Port Huron, MI, and Grayling, MI. Owner Operator propane candidates are being identified and screened NOW; however, propane onboarding and transition for Owner Operators is not expected before September 2026.
Requirements
- Professional CDL-A drivers.
- Show up ready to work.
- Take safety seriously.
- Understand regional / OTR operations.
- Want to grow into propane and refined fuel hauling.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- CDL-A required.
- 2+ years driving experience preferred.
- Owner Operator truck requirements: provide truck specs and pictures (VIN #, Make, Model, and Year), provide most recent DOT inspection paperwork, must have or be willing to install a Hydropak, truck must pass DHT-designated DOT inspection and maintain those standards, DHT will provide ELD system, must carry Bobtail insurance.

Responsibilities
- Haul van freight immediately.
- Transition into propane operations in the fall.
- Operate regional / OTR routes.
- Handle responsibility without constant supervision.
- Pass drug and alcohol screening.
- Pass DOT physical.
- Meet truck requirements for Owner Operators including passing DHT-designated DOT inspection and maintaining those standards, installing a Hydropak, and carrying Bobtail insurance.
