Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of hospital leadership experience.
  • At least 5 years of clinical emergency medicine experience.
  • License (or eligibility to practice) in the relevant states.
  • Strong financial and business instincts.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, from frontline team members to executive leadership.
  • Ability to coach, train, and provide timely, meaningful feedback.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% between hospital locations and for various events.
  • A strategic mindset and a genuine commitment to EVCC’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

  • Create an environment for hospital leaders and teams to consistently deliver exceptional patient care, amazing client experiences, engaged and supported teams, and strong financial performance.
  • Develop leaders who can effectively manage their hospitals and teams.
  • Ensure hospitals consistently execute operational standards, compliance requirements, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with the CVO to lead local hospital leadership teams across the region.
  • Identify and develop the next generation of Hospital Managers.
  • Coach Medical Directors to effectively engage, develop, and mentor their doctors.
  • Lead and/or support organization-wide projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure clinical teams have the necessary resources, tools, and support.
  • Partner with the CVO to achieve clinical, operational, and financial goals for the region.
  • Own accountability for the region’s hospital and capital budgets.
  • Identify opportunities to grow hospital services and present recommendations to the COO.
  • Act as a liaison between hospital leadership and executive leadership.
  • Promote a team-based, patient-first approach to emergency medicine.
