About The Position

The Regional Operations Director oversees the operational and financial success of multiple dental practices within a specific geographical area. They ensure high-quality patient care, manage budgets, supervise staff, and maintain compliance with industry regulations. They also act as a liaison between the individual practices and the company's corporate office. The Regional Operations Director is a leadership role focused on driving operational excellence, fostering growth, and ensuring a positive patient and employee experience across multiple dental practices. This position requires traveling to multiple locations in the Toms River region.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the Dental industry.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a Regional role, overseeing multiple offices.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing administrative operations of multiple dental offices.
  • Providing support to dentists and practice managers.
  • Analyzing business reports and creating recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitoring performance and developing strategies to close performance gaps.
  • Coordinating in-practice visits and reviews.
  • Contributing to the selection of supported dentists.
  • Developing workforce planning, recruiting, and retention strategies.
  • Conducting regular team collaboration sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Ensuring a positive patient experience throughout the patient journey.
  • Provide continuous direction and support to direct reports and raise awareness on operational priorities like productivity, schedule management, expense management, billing, authorizations, approvals, claims management, and increasing new patient flow.
  • Analyze business and financial data on a daily basis to recognize and build on strengths, provide daily feedback to the staff to improve weak areas of performance and identify anomalies occurring in the department.
  • Identify and recruit high caliber talent and continuously build a healthy pipeline of future leaders.
  • Train, mentor, and monitor staff to be effective and knowledgeable, provide constant coaching and support to make them self-reliant and effective contributors at the Office level.
  • Oversee and ensure office management and staff are focused on providing consistent, excellent patient experience.
  • Achieve timely implementation of company procedures and requirements for new hires, transfers, promotions, and status changes through routine communication.
  • Conduct weekly visits in each office to ensure consistent, effective, and active presence and conduct operations and performance audits.
