The role may require work on any shift, on-call, overtime, or seven days a week when needed, and access to mine areas that may include heights, confined spaces, ladders, stairs, and tunnels. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in geology, mining, or a related engineering or technical field, or equivalent proven work experience. At least 3–5 years of progressive technical responsibility in surface mining is required. Previous leadership or supervision experience is a plus. Preferred qualifications include a mining engineering or geology degree at the BS or MS level and/or PE registration, plus 4–6 years of underground and/or above-ground mining and blasting experience.
