About The Position

The Regional Medical Director serves as a senior clinical leader responsible for overseeing the quality, performance, and delivery of medical services across multiple healthcare locations within an assigned region. This role ensures that clinical care meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while supporting the organization’s value-based care model. The Regional Medical Director collaborates closely with clinical teams, administrative leadership, and external stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives that improve patient outcomes, enhance operational efficiency, and support organizational growth. This position plays a critical role in fostering a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in a relevant medical specialty
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the United States
  • Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership or administrative experience in healthcare

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to physicians and healthcare teams across the region
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with organizational standards
  • Support clinical decision-making and best practice implementation
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Develop, implement, and monitor clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives
  • Analyze clinical performance data and patient outcomes to identify improvement opportunities

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
