About The Position

SUMMARY The Regional Marketing Specialist is responsible for translating the marketing strategy into local market action, ensuring consistent campaign execution across all store locations, and helping drive traffic and sales at West Music's retail locations. This role serves as the critical bridge between marketing direction and regional execution, ensuring West Music maintains brand consistency while responding to local market opportunities. This role focuses on serving consumer audiences including band directors, music hobbyists, parents of student musicians, and local community members. The Regional Marketing Specialist ensures West Music's marketing presence is actively felt in local markets through store events, in-store signage, community engagement, social media presence, and regional campaigns that drive foot traffic and sales growth. The Regional Marketing Specialist creates a feedback loop between stores and marketing, coordinates regional marketing calendars and local events, manages store-specific marketing asset production within brand guidelines, and provides operational marketing support for regional initiatives. This role requires strong collaboration with store managers, regional sales teams, and marketing leadership. Travel to store locations and regional events will be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
  • 3+ years of professional marketing experience in B2B, B2C, or agency environment
  • Strong understanding of retail and consumer behavior
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated copywriting ability
  • Proficiency in content management systems, social media platforms, and digital marketing tools
  • Basic experience with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
  • Strong project coordination and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different locations
  • Customer service orientation and responsive communication style
  • Comfort with data-driven decision making and performance reporting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in retail marketing or multi-location marketing coordination
  • Background in music education, retail music, or the music products industry
  • CRM and marketing automation software experience (HubSpot or similar)
  • Community event planning and support experience
  • Understanding of band and orchestra programs in educational settings
