About The Position

Concerto Renal Services is an industry leader in nursing home dialysis, seeking a Regional Manager to oversee multiple locations and direct reports (Charge Nurses, Dialysis Technicians, and Dialysis Assistants) in the subacute dialysis setting. The role reports to the Regional Vice President and is responsible for customer service, staffing, operations within budgetary constraints, regulatory compliance, and adherence to Concerto's policies and procedures, in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Travel Required
  • Registered Nurse or Healthcare related background required
  • Understanding of CMS regulations
  • Basic use of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Unencumbered driver’s license
  • CPR certification
  • Must be able to do light lifting of at least 20 lbs.
  • Requires mental, visual, and auditory attention to patients, customers, and staff.
  • Work environment is characteristic of a health care facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels.
  • May be exposed to infectious and contagious disease/materials.
  • Requires travel between facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple locations and all direct reports (Charge Nurses, Dialysis Technicians, and Dialysis Assistants) in the subacute dialysis setting.
  • Ensure customer service, staffing, and operations are within budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and adherence to Concerto's policies and procedures.
  • Provide input into the development of staffing and supply budgets, and monitor/adjust based on census fluctuations.
  • Track compliance with financial goals related to hours and cost per treatment.
  • Assure timely and accurate billing procedures.
  • Identify opportunities and develop plans for revenue enhancement and growth of services.
  • Interview, hire, and retain appropriate staff to maintain proper staffing ratios.
  • Coach, train, and oversee the performance of direct report staff.
  • Provide continuing education opportunities as needs are identified.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to share information and concerns.
  • Maintain effective communication processes with the COO and all CRS employees, including department heads and support staff.
  • Promote quality standards through utilization of KDOQ guidelines, ESRD, regulatory requirements, and CRS professional standards of care.
  • Assure quality patient outcomes and professional standards of care.
  • Conduct periodic chart audits and data collection for analysis of quality indicators.
  • Track and trend data to determine the need for policy change and/or facility practice adjustments.
  • Prepare monthly QAPI data and summary for presentation at the Corporate QAPI meeting.
  • Ensure implementation of action plans from QAPI meetings.
  • Prepare weekly reports of unit activities for the Management Meeting.
  • Conduct monthly documentation audits.
  • Conduct monthly facility audits.
  • Follow up on Adverse Occurrence reports and conduct Root Cause Analysis as needed.
  • Maintain and develop policies and procedures that reflect practice and assure safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Report and follow up on equipment repairs.
  • Take timely and appropriate action on state survey recommendations.
  • Maintain patient, staff, and facility confidentiality.
  • Serve as a patient advocate.
  • Support and participate in customer relations and marketing efforts.
  • Facilitate collaborative working relationships.
  • Promote positive customer service strategies with staff.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all external and internal customers, including patients, families, nursing home staff, CRS staff, and physicians.
  • Take initiative and action to respond, resolve, and follow up on customer service issues in a timely manner.
