About The Position

The Regional Manager Ops Latin America will manage and optimize administrative processes across assigned stations, ensuring compliance with company policies, local regulations, and operational requirements. This role supports the Head of Operations, The Americas in overseeing Area 1 Latin America stations, including OSSA, GSA, GHA, and subcontracted service providers. Responsibilities include identifying training needs, supporting station start-ups, negotiating handling agreements, and securing required licenses and permits. The manager will monitor administrative and operational expenses, enforce purchasing policies, and represent Cargolux in local meetings and industry forums. Ensuring safe, secure, and compliant ground operations is paramount, as is overseeing ground handling agents, trucking providers, and operational staff to maintain service quality and meet customer requirements. The role also involves coordinating Road Feeder Services, managing supplier performance, ensuring flight operations support services are delivered correctly, and maintaining compliance with EASA documentation retention requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in airline, cargo, ground handling, or airport operations.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation regulations, ground operations, safety, security, and quality standards.
  • Experience managing operational suppliers and stakeholders (Ground Handling Agents, GSAs, trucking companies, etc.).
  • Proven ability to supervise, train, and support operational teams across multiple locations.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in contract management, supplier performance monitoring, and budget control.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel within Latin America and internationally.

  • Education in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee ground handling agents, trucking providers, and operational staff to maintain service quality and meet customer requirements, including special cargo handling.
  • Coordinate Road Feeder Services and manage supplier performance through SLA monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Ensure flight operations support services, including flight planning, crew coordination, weather and NOTAM services, are delivered in accordance with Cargolux and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with EASA documentation retention requirements and provide operational support and guidance to stations throughout the region.
