About The Position

The Regional Manager of Inflight Experience & Performance leads our centralized Crewmember Performance team, responsible for engaging crewmembers on performance, related investigations, and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) compliance. This role also owns the disciplinary grievance process and supports the development and execution of policies, processes, and programs related to disciplinary action. The Manager will collaborate with Labor Relations and Crew Relations to assist the field with training programs and reporting, driving positive change and CBA compliance. Additionally, the role supports engagement and culture initiatives to strengthen the relationship with crewmembers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field OR High School Diploma/GED with at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience within the aviation sector.
  • Three (3) years of leadership experience.
  • Experience in leading projects/major strategic initiatives.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective relationships in the field and with multiple workgroups.
  • Clear and professional written and oral communication.
  • Fluent in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Able to travel for company and/or industry meetings as needed.
  • Willing to work variable hours, including weekends and irregular shifts.
  • Available for overnight travel (10%).
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
  • Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years’ experience in people leadership.
  • Previous experience with budget preparation and managing departmental spending.
  • Previous Experience leading an Inflight Crew Base.
  • Two (2) years managing leaders (Supervisor level or above).
  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.
  • Inflight Crew Qualification (May maintain qualification with currency in training).
  • Experience working with third party representation, contract negotiation and/or arbitration.

Responsibilities

  • Leads a team of Performance Supervisors across the Inflight network, ensuring investigations and performance concerns are handled with equality and compliance to policies and the CBA.
  • Serves as the network's subject matter expert on the Disciplinary Grievance Process, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and fairness.
  • Collaborates with Crew Relations, Labor Relations, and the Legal team on all disciplinary matters to ensure compliance with the CBA, laws, and consistency.
  • Works within the Inflight Base environment in partnership with Inflight Operational Supervisors, Administrators, and General Managers (GMs).
  • Develops and oversees the process and strategy for CBA Dispute Resolution pertaining to disciplinary action.
  • Develops and oversees all processes for disciplinary grievance processing, including tracking, research for hearings, compliance with timelines, participation in mediation and arbitration, and network reporting.
  • Partners with Operational Supervisors, Base Managers, and GMs to review disciplinary outcomes, owning the final decision with stakeholder input.
  • Serves as the network owner for Progressive Guidance and Discharge Letters, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with company standards.
  • Manages and leads the Americans with Disability Act (ADA) program for the Inflight network.
  • Partners with and supports Base Leadership for crewmember engagement events and programs to promote wellbeing and retention.
  • Helps identify and measure touchpoints across the hire-to-retire journey, identifying opportunities and challenges.
  • Nurtures and harvests JetBlue Culture by participating in Welcome to Inflight/New Hire Graduation.
  • Obtains Inflight qualification, remains current, and is able to operate within the role of an Inflight crewmember.
  • Takes a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
